The Eastwest Medical Service was started in Prague early in 2002 by Mrs. Cheryl Eichhammer and Dr Milan Sasek to provide the Saudi Arabian Health care system with suitable staff to work in their Hospitals, to introduce new medical products from Germany and Czech Republic and to provide a referral route for Saudi patients to benefit from world renowned expert health care and rehabilitation e.g. following major trauma, strokes, birth trauma and congenital anomalies. In March 2003 a branch of the company was founded in Germany, near Regensburg.
PERSONNEL
Mrs. Cheryl Eichhammer 
is a British Nurse with 23 years experience in Health Care, the last 7 years spent in Saudi Arabia where she practiced as a Director of Nursing; being responsible for International recruitment of nurses for Saudi Arabian Hospitals, and the selection and purchase of medical equipment. Through her experience in Saudi Arabia she has excellent first hand knowledge of the requirements for the Saudi Health Care system and its patient needs. Mrs. Eichhammer has strong links to the Saudi Health Care system, and is responsible primarily for the recruitment division, and advisor for medical equipment. Mrs. Eichhammer travels between Germany, Czech Republic and Saudi Arabia.
Dr Milan Sasek is an American National of Czech origin, living in Prague, who has worked in Saudi Arabia as an Emergency Medicine Consultant. He has both the experience of Saudi Arabian health care and its patient needs, but also of the Czech health care system, with strong contacts to the Ministry of Health in Prague and the University training Hospitals in Czech Republic. Dr Sasek is primarily responsible for the transfer of Saudi patients to Czech Republic for Health care and also the screening of Doctors for recruitment. Dr Sasek is negotiating with the Deans of the Universities and the Director of Nursing in the ministry of Health towards revising the nursing training programme in the future for the Saudi Health Care system.
Ms Dana Juraskova is currently employed as Director of Nursing at Thomaeyrova University Hospital in Prague and acts as a Nursing Consultant to the company.
AIM
To recruit suitable highly qualified hospital staff of all disciplines from Germany, and the Czech Republic for Saudi Arabia.
To orientate the staff to the Saudi culture before their departure.
To arrange the transfer and medical treatment / rehabilitation of Saudi patients.
To supply medical instruments and equipment directly from the manufacturers in Germany and Czech Republic to Saudi companies and directly to the hospitals.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Working closely with Director of Nursing from the Czech Republic Ministry of Health and the Deans of the Czech Republic Nosing schools to help develop a training programme to provide direct recruitment availability for hospitals in Saudi Arabia.
